About the team
TikTok is seeking a motivated and eager experienced HR Operations Partner to proactively support HR operations by ensuring high quality stakeholder partnership and delivering efficiencies through the employee lifecycle. The HR Operations team at TikTok helps ensure strong quality, experience, and process for the Lifecycle Operations function. We support the employee lifecycle journey from hire to separation, including onboarding, job status changes, time keeping, data and reporting, and offboarding. This is a full-time role that can be located in our Vancouver office.
Responsibilities
Partnership: Effectively collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to proactively address system challenges and deliver relevant and impactful HR operation solutions to business;
Employee Lifecycle Experience: Manage daily operations improvement and escalation of employee end to end lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers/mobility, payroll, time keeping, time/off and leave, and other responsibilities as assigned;
Policies and Procedures: Recommend, design, and draft employee lifecycle policies and procedures that enhance and optimize existing HR practices, so that they remain relevant for purpose;
Operation Optimization: Be a trusted resource for HR systems, data, policy, and process knowledge to interpret and analyze policies to drive HR operation enhancements by supporting new module roll-out and optimization initiatives;
Project Management: Create, execute, and deliver various projects to standardize and strengthen HR practices across the organization, as well as set new processes, trainings, and initiatives;
Compliance: Ensure legal compliance by managing and implementing applicable policy and process revisions, supporting HR employment audits, and completing any required government reporting;
Independent judgement: Exercise independent and critical judgement and evaluation to determine appropriate solutions to enhance the stakeholders, business and employees experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of HR operations related work experience in process improvement, compliance (employment laws), employee lifecycle (preonboarding through offboarding), and HRIS administration (Workday experience), with strong stakeholder partnering and project management skills at a high volume technology start-up;
Knowledge of federal and states labour and compliance laws across Canada and USA;
Fluent in Excel (with the ability to perform formulas and functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) and PowerPoint (with the ability to create and present professional decks);
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to enhance employee experience through HR presentations, write clear process documentation, draft company-wide internal communications, and articulate complex issues and proposed solutions;
BA/BS degree in Human Resources or a related field.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is CAD$ 55480- CAD$ 102400 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
The compensation for this position is based on a monthly compensation structure. The range specified is the expected annual compensation for a person in this position.
