A Drag Show Fundraiser for SDQTBIPOC+ Mental Health Access
Venturous Counselling and Prospect Counselling will be hosting a drag show fundraiser to raise funds for Prospect’s low-cost counselling program.
This drag show fundraiser is taking place on the stolen and unceded, ancestral territories of the Traditional Coast Salish Lands including the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish) Nations.
On April 7th at 4:00 pm at The Birdhouse ~ 44 W 4th Ave, come experience a story of emotion by incredible drag artists. The event will also highlight mental health resources for SDQTBIPOC+ communities with several community partnerships and feature a raffle with amazing prizes from local businesses.

Tickets appear as a sliding scale of $6, $10, $15 (Recommended), and $20 prices.

This will be a mask mandatory event and we will provide masks + sanitizer at the entrance to prioritize access and be in solidarity with our immunocompromised kin.

ACCESSIBILITY INFO:
Note for moving and flashing lights at this event. Entrance is ground level through double doors with a wheelchair accessible entrance/exit (double doors 70 in. wide, single door is 35 in). There are no stairs or steps throughout the venue. The door to the outdoor patio is 35 inches wide, there is a cord that is ½” off the ground running parallel before the door to the outdoor patio. All washrooms are all genders. The wheelchair accessible washroom’s measurements are as follows: door clearance of 34 inches, sink height is 33 inches, toilet paper is 32 inches from the toilet, paper towel height is 44 inches, and a railing on the right side of the toilet is 31 inches from the ground. The door opens inwards to the washroom, the dimensions of the washroom are 94 inches x 70 inches. Seating available - please feel free to ask security or door staff if you ever require a seat and would like staff assistance in finding a seat. More info at bit.ly/birdhouse-accessibility
