The Opportunity
EY is currently looking for a driven workplace services professional who enjoys working with outstanding internal support teams as a Hospitality Coordinator in our Vancouver office. In this role you’ll be providing support for corporate meetings and events to ensure a positive experience for all, while working in tandem with your Workplace Services colleagues.
Your key responsibilities
In-house meeting and event requests: Ensure all meeting and/or event space requests are continually monitored and fulfilled.
Planning: Assist with room requirements, refreshment/catering needs, as well as dietary considerations.
Set up/take down: Set up room, lay out refreshments and/or catering, reset meeting space according to standard, maintain & replenish meeting room supplies, as needed.
Client floor: Maintain overall cleanliness and appearance of client floor, including terrace; ensure fresh coffee and water available throughout day in reception; follow cleaning schedule of catering kitchen and appliances; replenish stock; make service calls, as necessary.
Technology support: Liaise closely with the technology team to provide certain AV troubleshooting for meetings/events.
Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with various vendors and caterers.
Invoice processing: Prepare catering invoices for payment.
Reception coverage: Provide relief at reception for breaks.
Teaming: Cross-train with other Workplace Services colleagues to assist, when available.
Skills and attributes for success
Must have the daily stamina for significant walking, climbing stairs, ability to lift 25+ lbs.
To qualify for the role you must have
Proficient in MS Office and demonstrated aptitude to learn customized firm software/tools.
Ability to resolve conflict and handle difficult situations.
Continually strive for innovative solutions to established processes & procedures.
Aptitude to differentiate when to act independently or team with others.
Committed to contributing to a strong team culture to ensure success.
Agility to meet competing deadlines.

Exceptional client service experience is a must.
Hospitality & event planning experience is an asset.
Serving it right Certification BC is an asset.
Post-secondary education (preferred).
Overtime required as needed.

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $ 37,600 to 56,400. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
